The show

A comedy of clues, alibis, and very suspicious gravy.

It is a stormy evening at Worthington Manor, and tyrannical millionaire Edward Worthington has gathered everyone for his fiftieth birthday: his attractive wife, her playboy brother, his befuddled older sister, his ex-wife, his college-student daughter, a shady lawyer, an uptight business manager (plus giddy wife and southern secretary), and the full household staff. Every one of them has a reason to want him dead.

Then the lights go out. When they come back on, the knife meant for the birthday cake is protruding from Edward's back. In Act II a police detective takes over the investigation, and that is when it becomes East Idaho's problem too: the audience gets to question and accuse the suspects, who answer fully in character, before the killer is revealed in a genuinely surprising climax.

Expect great storm effects, spiffy costumes, 14 gloriously suspicious characters, and a madcap mystery from the author of Abduction and The Reunion. With only 500 seats total for the entire run, every night is close, loud, and personal.

How the finale works

1
Watch the mystery unfold
Every clue is on stage. Pay attention to everything, and everyone.
2
Interrogate the suspects
The cast remains in character while you and the audience question them directly.
3
Name the murderer
Cast your accusation with the room and find out who saw the truth.
4
Brag accordingly
Solve it and you have earned a full year of told-you-so rights.
